The Role

We are looking for a Toy Sourcing Manager to help establish global sourcing strategies for Lovevery’s products in an eco-friendly, cost effective and timely manner. You will be responsible for developing long term partnerships with our vendors and suppliers to improve speed, optimize cost, support margin, and best utilize supply chain capabilities and efficiencies in line with company objectives. This role will report directly to the Senior Director, Sourcing, located in the Hong Kong office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Building and executing a sustainable global sourcing strategy that enables us to deliver products at the right cost, right place, right quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Work closely with Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Compliance, and Supply Chain teams in the US on product launches, engineering orders, shipment monitoring and sustainability.
  • Identify and fulfil the sourcing needs of the company and deliver all products developed, commercialized, and manufactured by our vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team and vendors to monitor production process, identity issues and resolve them in a proactive and timely manner.
  • Establish global sourcing strategies to achieve cost targets, reduce lead time, and improve capacity
  • Review and plan vendor capacity versus forecast and actual plan.
  • Problem solver and process maker, driving collaborative partnership
  • Providing sourcing leadership to drive partnership with our vendors and deliver best-in-class performance
  • Analyzing and assessing the short- and long-term business needs
  • Assisting the leadership team to define the long-term sourcing strategy
  • Researching and assessing new vendors to support the business and capacity growth and driving continuous improvement
  • Owning vendor development and relationship building with stakeholders
  • Owning the onboarding and training of new vendors and continuously building capabilities to fulfil the business needs
  • Working closely with vendor partners to support product development and margin improvements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Merchandising/Business Management or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5-8 years’ experience in hard toy merchandising with experience in high quality toys, paper products & packaging sourcing in a global company and understanding of universal quality compliance requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders of diverse cultural backgrounds effectively
  • Expertise in negotiation, problem solving and multi-tasking
  • Independent, flexible, creative, high level of self-initiative and integrity
  • Fluent in verbal and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese communication skills and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
